Chihuly Exhibit

Summer is a time for laid back days, strolling through the park and outdoor cafes. Such a day transpired on the 4th of July. Marilen and I went to the De Young Museum in Golden Gate Park to see the exhibit of Dale Chihuly’s glass works. It was truly breathtaking. I can’t imagine the work that went into creating these fantastic works of art, the sheer size and some of the intricate designs and blasts of color was astounding. The pieces were shown in their full potential with background lighting. I especially loved the under-the-sea theme of one display which took up an entire room’s ceiling.
